Recognizing his growing desire for travel and hands-on experience, Chris Pulichene began exploring seasonal work opportunities that introduced him to structured tourism environments and guest-facing service roles. These positions provided him with early exposure to hospitality operations and the fast-paced nature of service-driven industries. Through this work, he developed adaptability, communication skills, and an appreciation for delivering consistent guest experiences across different settings.
This path ultimately led Chris into cruise ship employment, where he entered an international and highly structured environment centered on guest experience, safety, and teamwork. Onboard, he worked in watersports programming, supporting activities such as surf simulators, recreational guest experiences, and water safety coordination. His responsibilities required both technical awareness and strong interpersonal communication, as he frequently interacted with guests participating in water-based activities. Chris contributed to ensuring that experiences were both enjoyable and safely managed across various Caribbean itineraries.
Working at sea exposed Chris to a wide range of cultures, team structures, and operational challenges. It strengthened his ability to remain composed in fast-paced environments and reinforced his interest in maritime and tourism-based industries. After several seasons working on cruise ships, he decided to transition toward land-based coastal work, seeking a more stable environment while remaining connected to water-based recreation.
Chris eventually settled in the Florida Keys, where he began working in boat rentals and watersports operations. In this role, he combined his maritime experience with hospitality and tourism service skills. His responsibilities include assisting with boat rental operations, supporting watersports activities, and ensuring that guests have safe and enjoyable experiences on the water. This position allows him to apply both his technical boating knowledge and his background in structured guest services in a coastal environment that aligns closely with his interests.
Currently, Chris is focused on building long-term experience within the marine tourism industry in the Florida Keys. He continues to develop his operational and technical skills while gaining deeper insight into coastal tourism business models. Looking ahead, he is interested in expanding his role within the industry and eventually operating his own small-scale watersports business in a coastal destination. This goal reflects his ongoing commitment to working in environments that combine water, travel, and guest experience.
